Fenland Freight & Rail Adventure Beggars Bridge, 15th August 2024
A short visit to Beggars Bridge/Turf Drove on what turned out to be a very windy morning. Unfortunately 60096 to Brandon got cancelled, but I still got two Rail Adventure HST PCs, GBRf 69006 and BR Blue 69007 on sand trains, and a handful of other freight workings featuring Freightliner, DB Cargo, and GB Railfreight Class 66s.
Filmed on 15th August 2024.

If it sticks to diagram 66769 should work 4L21 Tinsley to Felixstowe overnight and then 4E21 Felixstowe to Tinsley tomorrow. Most GBRf locos show on RealTimeTrains, so if you type the number in the Menu:Search box it should show if it's out. 66614 has worked to Elstow this afternoon and will go to Tunstead overnight, so could work a diagram off Tunstead(or Earles)tomorrow morning to a South East destination.

Okay, so let me address this. Firstly, on a couple of visits before this(and again on a following visit)various things have gone wrong meaning locos/services I've gone with the specific intent of filming have either run very late or not at all - on this visit I was after ex Colas now GBRf 60096 on hire to DC Rail on a freight that ended up running late in the evening after I'd left and I could've got the other two workings much closer to home had I known this. Now I have somewhere in the region of 1,500 videos on my channel and none of them have have "Clickbait" titles as you're welcome to check. However, having seen other channels use "Clickbait" titles and get thousands of views for pretty plain content, I thought I'd test a theory and give this movie a somewhat different title to usual. Now to my mind the previous two movies I made here are much more interesting and have more unusual content, but they are only on around 300 views compared to this one around 5,000 views - so as suspected with so many things these days it doesn't matter how much time and effort I put into travelling, filming, editing, and making content, the vast majority of people will just click on something less interesting(usually under a minute long too)if the title grabs their attention.

Wonderful video. Hope you have a great day. Glad you managed to see at least one intermodal train despite the recent derailment at Felixstowe.

Thank you. Not the amount of freight there should've been normally, but at least there were some other things to keep me busy.

I honestly don't know what the answer is Keith - the best part of 9,400 subscribers plus other visitors and my views have plummeted this past year.

Nice captures. I saw the Climate Hero in Castle Donington. Not pulling anything. It's just came into a siding slowly, waited ten minutes and reversed out right next to a car park.

Thanks very much. It's been running workings around Drax and Scunthorpe for a while lately.

Nice little update. I'm sure that you'll get that point sorted. Sometimes older locos have a larger flange on the wheels which causes shorts on peco points but you've probably checked that. Looking forward to seeing the yard completed cheers Andy

Thanks very much Andy. Yes, I'm sure it'll be down to the wheel flanges on some stock, so I'm just about to make some track joint changes that hopefully will sort this out.

Nice long trains!! Have always enjoyed your full size videos. Wasn't aware you are a modeller too!!

I did have layouts in the distant past(literally the previous century!), but have only just started up again properly in the last 12 months - the full size real stuff has always been there since the mid 1970s though! Thanks very much.

Honestly Keith, if even a very short little video like this with interesting workings doesn't get the attention I don't know what the answer is.
